Darth Vader, originally Anakin Skywalker, is one of the most iconic villains in cinematic history. Portrayed by David Prowse (body) and James Earl Jones (voice), with Hayden Christensen depicting his younger self, Vader’s character is central to the Star Wars saga’s narrative arc. Anakin Skywalker begins as a slave on Tatooine, discovered by Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn in “The Phantom Menace.” His extraordinary Force sensitivity leads to his training as a Jedi under Obi-Wan Kenobi. However, Anakin’s fear of loss, ambition, and susceptibility to manipulation by Emperor Palpatine (Darth Sidious) lead him to the dark side, transforming into Darth Vader in “Revenge of the Sith.”
